I got 40%, mainly I think because I'm more inclined to think things are AI than human when I see it on the 'net.

I've become quite cynical of online reviews of late.

I know a Bot post (usually) because I immediately want to yawn.

Some of the examples in there have toned down the poetic descriptions and I was surprised I didn't spot them.

I hate AI and it scares me.

I underestimated how many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors AI makes! I would've thought most programs had trained proof-readers, seems not the case for some of them. Of course some humans have good grammar too but in the context I find it is not a lot.

I see the merits of it and I accept that it is going nowhere. But it is important to me to know the difference. E.G I want to be able to spot a bot if it is a review of somewhere I am staying, and to be able to spot an AI generated video or picture.

Some things are a good use of AI and some are not. Using AI to calculate something, fair enough. Using it to write your wedding vows? Not so much


And of course it is terrible for the environment, so I do try to use it sparingly.

One of my fields (counselling albeit I do not practice as a counsellor currently) is feeling the difference. It seems a lot of people are finding merit in AI counselling via chatGPT etc. I cannot say I blame them given the cost of therapy and the fact a lot of NHS counsellors are crap and have limited sessions to offer. But I do think it is a dangerous game given you are not talking to a human, and AI will affirm you even if you're a total arsehole (I have tested this)!

We should not be too harsh on grammatical errors. The third world wage-slaves who - ahem - "backstop" GTP do not have English as a first language.
