I am taking my girlfriend to Blackpool in a couple of weeks.
She's never been and has always wanted to go.
We'll go to Funny girls in the evening but, is there anything else that I may not know about that's worth visiting?
I know its reputation! Hasn't put me off, I find it quite charming in a weird way.
What's good in Blackpool...?

Strip bars, swingers clubs and Blackpool Victoria Hospital for for a course of antibiotics?

If you want a real Phoenix Nights kind of vibe in the afternoon try Ma Kelly's. Open all day.
Afternoon tea in the Tower Ballroom.
There's vegan food in the Abingdon Street Market Food Court. A stall called Seitanic is really good.
Stanley Park boating lake might be open. There's also a putting green.
IMAX Cinema.
Bootleg Social and The Brewroom often have live music on.

I’ll check some of those things out to Lorraine, I live just outside Blackpool now and never go in!

My husband used to live there and we still go over to meet up with his friends quite often. Just wish it was a bit less of a drive.sephi wrote: Sun Mar 29, 2026 9:42 pm I’ll check some of those things out to Lorraine, I live just outside Blackpool now and never go in!

Thank you all, we had a good time. The B&B made it for us, (we stayed in the Garnett) the owners were just so friendly and accommodating. The weather was bloody awful though!
